About me

Hi there! I'm Artem and if you are landed on my home page you are probably interested in software engineering or topics around it, which are mostly discussed in my blog. Currently I live in Munich, Germany with my better half and a young daughter. My journey began in the late 90's, after I discovered for myself Sinclair BASIC on ZX Spectrum, which I borrowed from a friend of mine. At the beginning of the 20th century I spent significant amount of time writing Pascal code in my moleskine and typing it into the school PCs after regular lessons. Then I went for a half a year to the National Aerospace University in Kharkiv, where I studied computer systems and networks. That was a nice time full of math, sports, parties, VHDL and C. Subsequently I decided to use an opportunity to start a new study in Computer Science at Technical University of Munich (TUM) in Germany. After some deliberation, I decided to dilute the dry technical skills with a certain amount of pragmatism and graduated to the B.Sc. in Business Computer Science at TUM. This decision didn't affect my identity as an engineer, but it has helped me to collect the necessary experience to understand and bridge the gap between the business and technological component of software engineering. Since then, I dedicate myself to the development of viable high-tech software products and solving arising technological and business issues.
The "About" would be incomplete without mentioning my family. My girls help me to keep the right balance between work and leisure, and are the source of inexhaustible happiness. Parenting my little princess gives me not only the joy and inspiration, but also helps to comprehend the mystery of human relations more and more every day.
The last significant part of my life I would like to share occupies sports. I enjoy doing sports because it allows me to clear my mind after a hard day and inspires me for fresh ideas. I began running in 2007 and since 2013 I have been taking part in marathons and triathlons. Sport is my passion in all its manifestations, whether it is swimming, running or skiing.
